ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS - HOW TO SEARCH OUR SITE FOR PARTS
We do not use a horizontal dash in the
middle of our Commando & Dominator part numbers e.g. we use 067502 NOT
06-7502. We do however use the special characters found in parts from the
earlier models e.g. we do use A2/138
Method 1
Our main search facility is powered by Google, this often returns
some sponsored results from Google first which are to other companies' products
and are generally nothing to do with what you were searching our for. All
of our results are immediately after the Google Sponsored Ads, so please scroll
down past the Google Ads to our results. All of our links to the products
you want, start with our web address https://www.norvilmotorcycle.co.uk/ which
is then followed by the specific pages like exhaust.htm for example.
Method 2
An alternative to using the above Google search option is to go to
our Full Catalogue List Of Parts - the link is near the top centre of every
page. Once you open that page you can search through it by pressing Ctrl+F
on your keyboard simultaneously, which brings up a search box in most web
browsers (in one of the four corners of the screen). We currently
recommend using the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browsers to navigate
through our website as these appear to be the most stable. Once you have
your search box appear you can now type your part number or keyword into that
search box and press enter. This then returns all of the matches for that
part number or keyword that exist within our catalogue, press enter or click
next to go to each one e.g. 066130 has four matches on our website, you will be
taken to the first match, pressing enter again or clicking next takes you to the
second match and so on.
You can only search our site by using one
part number or keyword at a time, not multiple words. This search will
match every instance of what you are searching for e.g. searching for the word
camshaft would take you to the camshaft keys first, then the camshaft chains,
then the camshaft gears and so on. The search starts from the first line
of our catalogue and works it's way down. Searching by part number returns
far less results and you can find what you want quicker, so please refer to your
models' parts books to obtain the part numbers where possible.
Alternatively, scroll down the catalogue list of spares until you get to the
section you wanted e.g. the camshaft section is denoted by the far left column
which shows CAMSHAFT & CRANKCASE FITTINGS in the left column.
Method 3
Print yourself a copy of our current catalogue and highlight it with
the parts you are likely to need.
I know our website isn't perfect. We went
live on the internet in 1999 with our first website and we have come a long,
long way since then.
